Una scuola di ingegneria aiuta a far crescere una scuola di architettura, e viceversa: questo è un messaggio difficile da far passare.Un’altra difficoltà è far comprendere ai professori che l'università sta cambiando,i Dipartimenti hanno molte più responsabilità rispetto a prima.
Vado fiero dell'ottimo rapporto tra i Dipartimenti di Architettura, Ingegneria e Geologia, perché sono tre discipline che si complementano. Io dico che si può sempre migliorare,
lo dico soprattutto a voi studenti, mai accontentarsi.
L’ingegneria civile è un settore che in paesi come l’Italia è solido ed ha sempre avuto buoni riscontri anche nel mondo del lavoro.
Non è cambiato moltissimo rispetto a molti anni fa, dovrebbe esserci più
applicazione sul campo per capire ad esempio come si fa il calcestruzzo.
I nostri studenti hanno una buona preparazione, per quel che riguarda il campo delle costruzioni. Il corso di laurea, nascendo come costola di architettura, non ha tutte le competenze che dovrebbe avere un corso di ingegneria civile, però si potrebbero offrire delle lezioni teoriche su argomenti che attualmente non possiamo insegnare, come ad esempio idraulica.
Una cosa che mi piacerebbe avere è uno spazio dove gli studenti possano lavorare. Purtroppo per ora bisogna cercare di sfruttare al meglio le risorse che abbiamo perché, con i finanziamenti che si stanno riducendo, vedo difficile costruire nuove strutture.
Nervi! Sicuramente, lui è il primo; vorrei avere dei grandi progettisti che sappiano anche fare ricerca. Penso che un corso di laurea debba avere una solida base teorico-pratica, quindi che debba poter contare su ingegneri che si occupino della meccanica di base e dei bravi progettisti.
I rapporti in questo momento sono molto buoni, ma tra i docenti italiani e quelli stranieri. La sfida è allargare il rapporto agli studenti.
Dovete essere affamati di conoscenza, non guardate al voto. Se fate le cose seriamente, quello che imparate in ogni caso lo riuscite a vendere sul mercato.
Oggi, ve lo dice uno che ha viaggiato molto, diventa molto difficile trovare lavoro dietro casa come architetto o come ingegnere. Ma il lavoro c’è, bisogna solo andarlo a cercare.

La difficoltà più grande è la gestione dell'assemblea di dipartimento; i docenti prendono delle decisioni per poi rimetterle successivamente in discussione, se da un lato questo è un atteggiamento democratico, dall'altro diventa dolorante perché si tende a non concretizzare, a non
avere una linea di pensiero costante.
Un atteggiamento che difendo è quello che hanno i professori nei confronti della didattica e degli studenti, mi pare funzioni molto.
È giustissimo dire “ai giorni nostri”, nel senso che io mi sono formato in un’epoca in cui l’architettura si studiava su molti libri. La teoria e la pratica devono correre su due binari paralleli, è importante costruirsi un background che permetta di fare delle scelte, motivandole, senza affidarsi troppo alla fantasia. L’Ud’A, rispetto al passato recente, deve dare forti contributi per “svecchiare” questa scuola attraverso l’arte, il cinema, la fotografia, magari anche il teatro. Presto ci saranno delle novità su questo versante.
I nostri laureati hanno un buon livello per affrontare il mondo del lavoro. Pescara viene erroneamente vista come se fosse una piccola "New Work degli architetti", per certi versi mi piacerebbe considerarla tale, ma rispetto alle reali possibilità di occupazione si crea uno squilibrio tra aspettative e realtà. Mi sembra quindi che la "provocazione" dell’estero possa essere un'alternativa, ma per andare, conoscere, sperimentare e portare a casa.
Ho provato ad aprire degli spazi di dialogo con l’Ateneo di Chieti, ma questo non basta, ci vogliono strutture adeguate. Uno degli elementi su cui stiamo puntando è la realizzazione di una mediateca, uno spazio che non stia sotto terra e che abbia una rilevanza architettonica che accolga un gran numero di materiali utili agli studenti.
Avrei piacere a invitare tutti i professori che hanno insegnato qui, come Aldo Aymonino, Cristina Bianchetti, Arturo Lanzani, Paolo Desideri, ed altri. È importante riuscire a dialogare con il passato in modo non nostalgico.
Le relazioni internazionali che abbiamo attualmente sono soprattutto rapporti tra docenti e università estere. La sfida sta nel provare a mettere in piedi ricerche importanti, in cui studenti e dottorandi possono essere coinvolti.
Penso che studiare architettura sia una cosa bellissima!
Io ho cominciato a vivere quando mi sono iscritto a questa facoltà. Le dinamiche del lavoro di gruppo insegnano a saper lavorare insieme e crescere insieme, senza lasciare spazio a contrapposizioni logoranti che non portano da nessuna parte.
Ricordate: l'università è vostra! Come studenti potete pretendere di più.
Come viene valutata la sua organizzazione universitaria e di cosa ne va fiero?
Come s’insegna l’architettura / ingegneria ai giorni nostri?
Quale ritiene essere il livello dei nostri laureati e in base a cosa lo valuta?
In che modo, in qualità di direttore, pensa di poter sopperire alla carenza di strutture del Dipartimento?
Oggi, quali architetti / ingegneri vorrebbe invitare nella sua scuola?
Quali relazioni intercorrono attualmente tra Ud’A e le Università straniere?
In conclusione ha la possibilità di lasciare un messaggio per i suoi studenti.

The biggest difficulty is managing the department’s assembly; the teachers take decisions and later put them back into discussion, on the one hand, this is a democratic attitude, on the other hand, it becomes painful because it tends not to become concrete, not to have a constant way of thinking.
An attitude that I defend is the one that teachers have towards teaching and students and it seems to me it works properly.
It is absolutely right saying "nowadays", in the sense that I have formed at a time when architecture was studied from many books. The theory and the practice have to run along two parallel paths, it is important to build a background that allows you to make choices and to motivate them, without relying too much on the imagination. L’Ud’A, compared to the recent past, must give strong contributions to "modernize" this institution through art, film, photography, perhaps even theater. There will soon be some news on this side.
Our graduates have a good level to face the working field. Pescara is mistakenly seen as the small “New York of the architects”, in some ways I would like to consider it so, but compared to the actual opportunity of employment, it is created an imbalance between expectations and reality. I tried to open spaces for dialogue with the University of Chieti, but this is not enough, it takes appropriate facilities. One of the elements on which we are aiming for is the construction of a media center, a space that is not underground and has an architectural significance that embraces a large number of materials useful to students.
I would like to invite all the teachers who have taught here, like Aldo Aymonino, Cristina Biachetti, Arturo Lanzani, Paolo Desideri, and others.It is important to manage to communicate with the past in a non-nostalgic manner.
The international relations that we currently have are especially relations between teachers and foreign universities. The challenge is to try to put together important research, where students and doctoral students may be involved.
I believe that studying architecture is a wonderful thing!I have begun to live when I enrolled at this faculty. The dynamics of teamwork teach you how to work and grow together, leaving no room for exhausting conflicts which lead nowhere.Remember, the university is yours! As students you can take out more.

An engineering school helps developing an architecture school, and vice versa: this is a difficult message to transmit.Another difficulty is to make the teachers understand that the university is changing, the departments have many more responsibilities now than before.
I'm proud of the good relationship between the departments of Architecture, Engineering and Geology, because these are three disciplines that complement each other. I say that you can always improve, I say this especially to you students, never settle.
Civil engineering is a sector that is solid in countries like Italy and has always had good results in the working field. Not much changed compared to many years ago, there should be more application in the field to understand, for example, how concrete is made.
Our students have an excellent training with regard to the construction field. The course of degree, emerging as a branch of architecture, does not have all the competences that should have a civil engineering course, but it could offer some theoretical lectures on topics that currently we are unable teach, such as hydraulics.
One thing I would like to have is a space where students could work. Unfortunately, for now we must try to make the most of the resources we have, because, with the funds that are being reduced, I see it difficult to build new structures.
Nervi! Certainly, he is the first; I would like to have some great designers who also know how to do research. I think that a graduate course must have a solid theoretical and practical basis, so that must be backed by engineers that deal with the basic mechanics and good designers.
At this moment, the relations are very good, but only between Italian and foreign teachers. The challenge is to broaden the relations to students.
You must be hungry for knowledge, do not look at the grade. If do the things seriously, you will manage to sell on the market what you learn.Today, tells you one that has traveled a lot, it becomes very difficult to find work around home as an architect or engineer.But the work is there, you just have to look for it.
